Module contents
This module examines the role of the human resource function as a strategic partner in managing today ́s organizations.
Fundamentals of HRM:
Students will gain knowledge about:
- cross-functional aspects of HRM (maintained on a permanent basis), such as HR strategy, rewarding, organizational effectiveness, labour relations, and leadership
- implications of legal and global environments, like diversity, code of conducts and others
- best practices in the field of HRM
- aspects of international HRM
Employee Management:
Students discover and discuss topics like:
- operational functions of HRM (directed to the employee-lifecycle), such as recruitment, selection, retention, development and separation
- Contemporary topics in dealing with employees, i.e. flexibility of work, team-work, stakeholder management
- Career management: interpersonal skills, coaching and feedback, application and negotiation management skills
