Transfer of Credits

The Application for the Transfer of Credits must be submitted by the student. Please find below some information on how to compile your Application.

Transfer of Credits after an outgoing exchange semester

Before your outgoing exchange semester you have compiled a Learning Agreement. However, its purpose is merely to determine whether Credit Points can be transferred or not. The actual transfer of Credits is a separate process which you have to start yourself. The final transfer will be managed by the Department of Student Affairs (HSST). If there have been any changes in your Learning Agreement, they might have to be reviewed again. Please comply with the regulations – otherwise, a smooth and timely processing cannot be guaranteed.

After the Application has been transferred completely, it will be processed and reviewed by the Department of Student Affairs (HSST) and finally the grades will appear in your overview in the Student Portal. Please note that this process may take some time. Therefore, it is in your best interest to file the Application as soon and complete as possible.

Transfer of Credits from previous studies

If you want Credits transferred from your previous studies, you usually do not have a Learning Agreement. For this reason, every transfer must be reviewed thoroughly. Here, you can find a Guide on how to compile the Application (English version / German version). Please comply with the regulations – otherwise, a smooth and timely processing cannot be guaranteed.

After the Application has been transferred completely, it will be processed and reviewed by the Department of Student Affairs (HSST) and finally the grades will appear in your overview in the Student Portal.
